Slow updates as of late

Just wanted to post here as to why there seems to be a slow down of posts lately on the blog. I have been spending alot more time updating my work and random happenings through my facebook page.

Definately swing on over and toss it a like to get more current artwork updates! I definately appreciate it! You can check it out over @. Every person following means a ton to me.

Friday Night Magic

Been very inspired by Magic: The Gathering lately.. a game that I was outrageously into as a child, and is now making a comeback into my adult life. Started Playing in 94 with the launch of Revised, and it dominated those years... after many years later, it's been a blast to dig back in.
There was something about the look of these cards when i was young, that really drew me into the world of illustration. Even looking at old cards and the artwork that goes with them.. brings back waves of memories that I thought I had forgotten.

New SP series

I realized recently I had not done a self portrait in years.. probably 6 or more. Remember back in art school, you'd have to crank out atleast one of these a week. Great for taking your time in understanding light and form. It also always makes me think of Andrew Jones doing 365 SP's in a row back in the day.. so in honor of ALL that, I am going to try to atleast do a self portrait once a month.

Psychic Tear

Been doing a bunch of "just for fun" paintings recently, ended up doing this one fairly quickly (probably 4 hour piece).
